Davao City has registered 74 Critical Risk Barangays due to the high number of Covid-19 cases, making the city a Critical Risk local government unit.
This is the highest based on the previous rankings of barangays high risk to Covid-19.
Based on the data from the Covid-19 cluster, the city is classified as Critical Risk with a “High” 2 Week Growth Rate (2WGR) at 1372.62, and “High” Average Daily Attack Rate (ADAR) or the average number of new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 individuals at 27.93.
Given this, Dabawenyos are advised to exercise caution in going to the 74 critical risk barangays; 3 high-risk barangays; and, 16 high-risk barangays in close proximity to critical barangays, 50 moderate risk barangays, and three (3) moderate risk barangays in close proximity to high-risk barangays. These barangays are listed on the City Government of Davao Facebook Page.
Davao City Mayor Inday Sara Duterte during her Special Hour program over the Davao City Disaster Radio on Monday said that the city regularly releases the list for the benefit of the general public.
Mayor Sara advised Dabawenyos to be extra careful in going out, especially in crowded areas. The mayor reminded everyone to wear masks, practice physical distancing, and frequently wash hands with soap and water. CIO
